Policy on the use of Artificial Intelligence when editing WikiAnimal.
WikiAnimal is a collaborative project that aims to provide accurate, reliable, and ethical information about the animal kingdom. We welcome the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a tool to assist our human editors in various aspects of editing, such as fact-checking, content moderation, and language refinement. However, we also recognize the limitations and challenges of AI, and the need for human oversight and judgment.

Therefore, we have established the following guidelines and principles for the use of AI for editing WikiAnimal:

* AI should be used to complement, not replace, human editors. Human editors are ultimately responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the content they oversee or approve.

* AI-generated or edited text should be clearly identified to the WikiAnimal community by inserting 'Template:AI generated' before the text.

* AI-generated or edited text should be verified and reviewed by human editors before being published or accepted.

* AI-generated or edited text should adhere to the WikiAnimal policies and standards, such as neutrality, verifiability.

We hope that these guidelines and principles will help us achieve our goal of creating a comprehensive and trustworthy resource on the animal kingdom, while also respecting the ethical and social implications of using AI. We invite feedback and suggestions from the WikiAnimal community on how to improve our use of AI.

  • AI should be used to complement, not replace, human editors. Human editors are ultimately responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the content they oversee or approve.
  • AI-generated or edited text should be clearly identified to the WikiAnimal community by inserting 'Template:AI generated' before the text.
  • AI-generated or edited text should be verified and reviewed by human editors before being published or accepted.
  • AI-generated or edited text should adhere to the WikiAnimal policies and standards, such as neutrality, verifiability.

We hope that these guidelines and principles will help us achieve our goal of creating a comprehensive and trustworthy resource on the animal kingdom, while also respecting the ethical and social implications of using AI. We invite feedback and suggestions from the WikiAnimal community on how to improve our use of AI.
