Sometime in July of 1979, a lone male Orca was captured off the west coast of Iceland. He was then transferred to the Hafnarfjordur Aquarium where he underwent basic training whilst waiting to be purchased. He was later named Dzul-ha, but was also sometimes known as Shamu.
